Lightning talks

Why Tise isn’t Finn.no
Imagine you love vintage shopping: Finding the perfect outfit for your next huge party, or an awesome couch for your new living room. It’s like a treasure hunt. The question is: where do you go to find your new treasures? Finn? Tise? The local flee market? In our lightening talk we’ll explore why some places, like Tise, create better experiences than others, and how that impacts profitability

Speakers: Julie Sand Fuglum (Business Developer, Tise) and Rosa Krogh (Senior Business Designer, Making Waves)

The day I hacked Tinder by accident
On Tuesday January 8th 2019, at around 14:00 GMT, Tinder went down … was it my code, or was it not my code? That is the question. Unbeknownst to me, that single moment in time would set the stage and define the future for the coming year.

Speaker: Sirar Salih (Solution Architect, Making Waves)

Design for Democracy: inspiration or obstacle?
Let's take a glance at our mind set.

Speaker: Astrid Loraas (Senior Designer, Making Waves)

Why Inclusive Design is failing
Inclusive Design. It’s the buzz word that every company seems to be humming these days. But what if I told you that inclusive design has a blind spot? One that has already marginalised millions ... the canary has already started singing, will you listen?

Speaker: André Kennedy (Designer, Making Waves)

The Future of Innovation: From Silicon Valley to Oslo
While Silicon Valley is known as the global center of tech, it is Oslo that feels more like the future. In this presentation we will take a short trip through the history of the tech industry, consider what Silicon Valley has become today, and examine the key ingredients that support an innovative environment.

Speaker: Jimmy Byrum (Software Engineering Leader at Vipps)
